Student Transportation To Hold Job Fair At CTWorks Career Center In New London On March 31GROTON,CT (March 20, 2008) Student Transportation of America, Ltd. (STA), (TSX: STB, STB.UN), one of North America’s fastest growing school transportation providers, is seeking drivers to fill school bus positions now available in New London County.

School bus drivers transport children to and from school each day on established routes. Additional extracurricular runs (sports and field trips) and charter work also may be available. Typical runs are during morning and afternoons and average 20 to 30 hours per week.

Job requirements include a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical, a pre-employment drug test and a criminal background check. Experienced bus drivers with Commercial Driver’s Licenses (CDL) with P and S endorsements are preferred, but free training will be provided for good drivers without school bus experience. STA’s training program includes classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to prepare candidates for CDL written and road examinations.
