Student Transportation of America Awarded Contract Renewal with Wake County Public Schools

Wake County, N.C. (March 20, 2024) — Student Transportation of America (STA), an industry leader in student transportation, safety, and fleet services, is pleased to announce that Wake County Public School District’s Board has voted to renew its transportation contract, passing a new 5-year contract starting in the fall of the 2024-2025 school year. The new contract will include STA’s support of 140 daily student routes within the district, plus alternative transportation needs. The contract renewal was accepted during last night’s school board meeting.

With the new contract in place, STA will continue to be responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of more than 2,400 students across the county each day. STA remains the largest transportation vendor under contract with the Wake County District.
