Student Transportation of America Names Gene Kowalczewski Chief Operating Officer of Its North American School Bus Operations

WALL, N.J., January 9, 2019Student Transportation of America (STA), an industry leader in school bus transportation, safety and fleet services, today announced the promotion of Gene Kowalczewski, naming him Chief Operating Officer of STA’s School Transportation Group overseeing North American school bus operations.

“Gene has developed a reputation for his smart and creative approach to industry challenges as well as being recognized as a highly effective communicator and inspirational leader throughout his almost 30-year career,” stated Patrick Vaughan, President of STA’s School Transportation Group. “Since joining STA back in 2008, Gene and his team have been at the forefront of the Company’s historic growth from Maine to Florida. Their results in the areas of safety and service are highly respected throughout STA and we look forward to his outstanding leadership carrying on throughout our organization.”
